How To Bring Your Work Online Fast

The best time to do it was, of course, before you needed it urgently.

It happens with many things in life.

I decided to operate exclusively online when I moved to the middle of the Alps in Europe without speaking the language many years ago. I've been doing this successfully ever since so what you are going to read comes from experience and from doing, not from teaching about it.

I've also been advocating using the online world smart but as a thing to have done "yesterday" and not be left for "tomorrow".

NOTE - It takes some time to operate online successfully. It's not magic and it's not instant.

And...

It's totally worth it.

DON'T GO THERE

Since speed is of the essence, we need to avoid one of the biggest traps.

It's not about dumping everything you know in a website.

People who mistakenly take this path end up exhausted and most often broke.

That's not the best use of the online world for people like us who have businesses based on our expertise.

Also don't get stuck building a website. (I do think a website is important as a positioning tool). However, clients won't discover you magically just because you have a website.

FAST TRACK - If you need to build a website fast (and certain specific pages like a page to offer a free gift in exchange for the visitor's contact info) - you can try this for free for 14 days

Don't start opening social media accounts.

FAST TRACK - Concentrate on one social platform where you can build an audience first. Again, social media doesn't work just because you have an account. People don't magically discover you just because you're there. The focus needs to be to build the audience.

GO THIS WAY

The best use of the online world is to put your message in front of more than one person at a time and to deliver your work virtually.

Message To Many

The basics of this is to build an audience who want what you offer.

FAST TRACK - Start your email management system if you don't have it already. If you don't have one, you can start for free here - https://mailchimp.com

You can choose any system you want and most of them have excellent tutorials. I'm suggesting this one because it's free for the first 2000 subscribers.

Delivering Your Work Virtually

There are many tools but let's concentrate on the most reliable ones

Skype - Skype allows you to have sessions with people without having to be in the same room.
I work manly with private clients so Skype has been an invaluable tool for years.

Teaching Classes To Groups - Whether they are free classes or paid classes, I use WebinarJam. You can try it for $1 and teach more than your fair share of classes.

NEXT STEP

Till next time remember…
Your awesomeness is portable. You can take it with you anywhere and everywhere.
